Acuant performs biometric facial recognition match and a passive liveness detection test to prevent identity theft and fraud. A user captures an image of their government-issued ID and then takes a selfie. The selfie image is compared to an extracted photo from the identity document to verify a match, the liveness test happens in the background with no action required. Acuant utilizes NIST tested and iBeta compliant tech with Presentation Attack Detection (PAD) Level 1 & 2 awards to prevent presentation attacks from printed images, masks, recorded video, or synthetic video from passing.
