Tommy Nicholas
Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Alloy
Tommy is the co-founder and CEO of the identity risk management company Alloy. After graduating from the University of Virginia, Tommy began his career as a software developer. He met co-founder Laura Spiekerman and Charles Hearn when the three were working at a payments startup, where they recognized the need for a better tool to connect banks and fintech companies to sources of KYC, AML, and other compliance data. Together, they co-founded Alloy, and today over 500 banks and fintechs turn to Alloy to take control of fraud, credit, and compliance risk, and grow with the clearest picture of their customers.
Lauren McCollom
Director, Banking as a Service, Grasshopper Bank
As Director of Banking as a Service, Lauren McCollom leads the Bank’s efforts to establish mutually beneficial partnerships with financial technology and neobank companies by offering a variety of financial tools and solutions for the consumption of the fintech’s clients. During her 17-year commercial banking career, Lauren has worked alongside entrepreneurs to solve complex problems and ultimately help them build great companies. While working at Wells Fargo, and later at Square 1 Bank, she was instrumental in the formation and growth of the Startup Services groups where her skills in working with the investor community along with portfolio companies were leveraged. Lauren graduated from UC Davis and lives in the Bay Area with her husband and two children.
Mark Vermeersch
Chief Platform Officer, Treasury Prime
In his role leading strategy and product, Mark is responsible for Treasury Prime’s partnership and product strategy. Mark joined Treasury Prime from fintech lender Affirm where he led product across Anywhere Financing and the Virtual Card Platform and enabled core product partnerships. Prior to Affirm, Mark was general manager and product manager for Silicon Valley Bank’s API platform. Mark started his career in institutional and hedge fund investing before transitioning to product and adjacent roles in tech, including a stint at Google. Mark holds a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame, an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a M.S. in Product Design and Development from Northwestern University.
