The apparently highly flexible Hilaria Baldwin posted an Instagram today showing off her yoga skills (sort of). Baldwin captioned the image with #yogapostureoftheday, but could probably be tagged as #sexposition of the day. I mean, her posture is impressive, but most people wouldn’t suggest doing yoga while wearing tights and heels. Also, using a bed as a surface is great for sex, but not great for yoga.

While I suppose flexibility is of the myriad benefits of consistently practicing yoga that can translate into pleasurable sexual intercourse, there are reasons to do it that have nothing to do with looking sexy or being able to fold yourself up in sexy ways.

Here are 10 reasons to do yoga that have nothing to do with sex:

1. Increased Strength and Flexibility
Becoming more athletically capable through yoga can enhance all aspects of your life, not just sexual performance.

2. Optimism
A study from Boston University School of Medicine and McLean Hospital reported that subjects who did an hour of asanas raised their levels of the chemical GABA (low levels are linked to depression) by 27%.

3. Reduced Anxiety
Practicing yoga is a great way to relieve stress and anxiety. It gives you time to move and breath.

4. Improved respiration
All that focused breathing isn’t for nothing!

5. Stronger Bones
Weight bearing activity is great for your skeleton. Forget about boning and think about reducing your chances of having crumbly bones.

6. More Energy
Spending just moments of your day doing yoga, focusing on your postures and your breathing can lead to boundless energy like you’ve never imagined.

7. Reduce Migraines
If you suffer from migraines, a few months of yoga will help you. Migraines suck and are a mysterious condition, but research suggests that three months of yoga therapy significantly reduced headaches in migraine sufferers.

8. Boosted Immunity
Regular exercise can keep you from getting sick. Unrelated hypothetical: would you give up a year of sex to have a year of perfect health?
