How to Make a Eucalyptus Wreath

By  |

You're already seeing Christmas decorations in stores, but maybe you can make a few things yourself this holiday season. Why buy a wreath when they're so fun and easy to make? Invite a friend over, sip some hot cocoa and have a wreath-making party.

A eucalyptus wreath can welcome visitors at the front door and merrily announce the holiday season.

Colleen Mullaney, lifestyle expert and author of Faux Fabulous Florals and Punch, offers instructions on how to make your own eucalyptus wreath!

Make a Merry Ring

  • 16” (40cm) wire wreath form
  • 12 stems eucalyptus
  • 3 stems red berries
  • Floral wire

How to:

1. Cut eucalyptus stems to about 4” (10cm) in length and gather in small bunches.
2. Starting at one point and working in clockwise direction, wire eucalyptus bunches to the frame. To every third or fourth bunch add a sprig of red berries. Continue until wreath is covered.
3. Cut wire and twist ends around wreath the finish.

Tip: If the country look of red and green is not your style, try spraying the leaves gold or silver for a sparkling holiday, or white for a winter-wonderland effect.
