Everybody has insecurities. Even Beyoncé has a few things she doesn’t feel so great about. It’s a natural feeling and you’re definitely not the only one who struggles with self-confidence. That being said, self-esteem issues still suck. A lot. Nobody likes to feel bad about themselves but we're not all just born confident. A lot of the time, you need to work to gain confidence in yourself.

Over the years, your self-esteem gets stripped away by bullies, media, and even some family members. Your confidence gets put through the ringer and hauled off to a place that’s nearly impossible to find. You probably don’t even remember what it feels like to be truly confident in yourself.

Luckily, it’s only nearly impossible to find. Meaning, with the right guidance, you’ll definitely be able to find that self-esteem that you've been looking for. A lot of times, people think self-confidence comes from another person telling you that you're beautiful or falling in love with you. But, honestly, that kind of stuff never works. You need to work at it personally and then eventually, you’ll love yourself inside and out.

You can probably think of a long list of things you don’t like about yourself. If you try to fix all of those things at once, it’ll be way too overwhelming and really, you can’t. Instead, you have to focus on one or two big things that are causing you to feel insecure. Identify those first and you’ll be able to figure out what to do in order to gain confidence.
