Caitlyn Jenner Is Like Ridiculously, Ridiculously Good Looking

This morning I began to see a Vanity Fair cover with a beautiful, regal woman’s picture start to pop up on my newsfeed. I didn't recognize her, and figured it must be a celebrity I didn’t know. While I like to think I’m on top of my game entertainment-wise, sometimes, there’s just too much celebrity news to keep up with.

What I didn’t know at first sight, though, was that this particular celebrity was someone I knew pretty well. In fact, I watched her (as  “him” at the time) speak at my university in college and even wrote about it for an online campus publication. The celebrity I’m talking about, if you haven’t guessed already, is Caitlyn Jenner.

Introducing herself for the first time with her new name, Caitlyn (who is formerly Bruce Jenner) appears on the July Cover of Vanity Fair (looking fantastic, if I do say so myself). Inside the pages of the incredibly popular magazine, Jenner opens up about her female identity — one which she began sharing during a sit-down interview with Diane Sawyer on ABC’s “20/20.”

The magazine cover photo, shot by Annie Leibovitz, reveals Jenner’s face after a 10-hour facial-feminization surgery on March 15. She also explains that if she never came out as transgender to the whole, she would live her whole life knowing she had lived a lie. She recalls thinking:

“If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life. You never dealt with yourself,’ and I don’t want that to happen.”

According to People, Caitlyn is the name Jenner always loved, as Bruce, when referring to the female part of his life. And it’s a lovely name, indeed.

Caitlyn also shared she will be sharing her full story through an eight-part docuseries that will air this July on E!, but fears people will think it's just a publicity stunt.

Publicity stunt or not, I'm sure it will be worth watching.
