YUMMY PAPAYAOk, I'm a little angry that no one told me it was National Papaya Month until today. Now we only have a few weeks left to raucously celebrate!

Some people love papaya, some people hate papaya. It's just one of those foods. I'm particularly fond of it, though; I find its fleshiness and flavor, um, … sensual.

The papaya has a number of beneficial qualities other than extreme velvety tastiness. It contains a protein called papain which is a digestive enzyme, it's rich in vitamins A and C as well as potassium and one serving of the stuff is just 55 calories.
