Thank God that we're so enamored of Neil Patrick Harris, because if any other celebrity were all over every medium, we'd get tired of them. But not only is NPH the star of How I Met Your Mother, a Twitter BAMF, and upcoming memoirist, but now you can add “web series star” to his resume. Playing off the kind of appeal he had in Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, Neil has teamed up with The Jim Henson Company and Nerdist to produce a twisted new series: Neil's Puppet Dreams.

But lest the present of fluffy friends make you think this is the kind of thing that Neil and partner David Burtka would show their adorable twins… It's totally not. The YouTube series — which is all about how NPH “dreams in puppets” — includes puppet sex, suicide jokes, cursing, drag queens, and flamboyant dream sequences. In short, it's more for adults, which makes it even funnier.

“I’ve always treated puppets with as much respect as possible,” NPH told Entertainment Weekly. “I’ve never thought of them as just for children’s parties, which I guess is the same way I feel about magic. A lot of people think magic is just for little kids at birthday parties, but I think that the puppeteers and the creators deserve more credit than that. So we’re not trying to be intentionally blue, but I just think the Internet audience that we’re hoping responds to something like this in that same, you know, Dr. Horrible world.”

Here's the first episode, which eases you into this group's dark brand of humor with a little ditty vividly illustrating just what happens when you fall to your death. Because you didn't think that Neil could just peacefully float through space in his jammies, now did you?

And here's a preview of the whole season to come! In fact, it's more of a behind-the-scenes mockumentary where NPH jokes about being lovers with Nerdist's Chris Hardwick, the producers tackle puppet discrimination… and we meet special guest stars like Joe Manganiello and Nathan Fillion! Yeah, I cannot wait for the rest of this season.
