When you grow up with someone or have had them in your life for so long you can’t remember what life looked like without them, it can be really hard to face the fact that they shouldn’t even be in your day-to-day anymore. It’s super hard to recognize just how negatively someone could be impacting your life. What's even worse is when you realize that they’ve even become a kind of anchor (and not in a good way) and you need to drop the dead weight before you drown.

These types of people don’t often start out this way, but over time they suck the positive energy from your life and leave you more irritated whenever you’re in their presence. A lot of the time they even make you more toxic in your own friendships. Not to be dramatic, but they’re like leeches; they latch on and never leave until you actively decide to get rid of them.
