Miley Cyrus Skipped a Performance to Stay in Australia With Liam, So I Guess This Is Happening
Attention all Mileyam shippers! Miliam? Miam? Limey? Whatever the hell you call these two! All of your dreams may be coming true, and 2013 may actually be repeating itself. (Can someone please call the Doctor about this? I'm starting to worry.) Miley Cyrus skipped a scheduled performance in Los Angeles this week to stay with her ex-fiancé Liam Hemsworth in Australia.
Earlier this week we told you about how Miley and Liam spent New Year's weekend together (along with Chris Hemsworth, Chris Hemsworth's wife Elsa Pataky, and a bunch of other people) attending the Falls Festival in Australia. There were even photos of the two of them together and reports that they were acting “affectionate.” Obviously the Internet freaked out over the prospect of them getting back together, but I shrugged it off as maybe just two exes being friendly.
Now I'm not so sure. According to E! News, Miley was expected to perform last night at an event honoring “Hands of Love,” the song written by Linda Perry that Miley recorded for the movie Freeheld. Perry apparently announced that Miley couldn't make it because she was still in Australia. E! adds that their sources told them Miley and Liam are back together.
Wow. Skipping a scheduled performance at an event honoring a song you sang is kind of a big deal. I don't have much of an opinion either way about these two getting back together (although this news makes me more of a believer), but that's a pretty damn unprofessional thing to do. That's a Justin Bieber move. And, as crazy as it sounds considering we're talking about Miley Cyrus, I thought she was more responsible than that.
Unless this has nothing to do with Liam or any trivial desire to stay in Australia, and she just couldn't make it for reasons beyond her control. But she hasn't posted an explanation or apology on Instagram or Twitter so… Miley, what's good?
