Stranger Things Boys Bring Down The House Performing Motown Medley With James Corden
The boys of Stranger Things are back! And now they're in a boy band?
While doing press for the show, the four main boys, Noah Schnapp (Will Byers), Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), and Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin) stopped by The Late Late Show. Host James Corden always has something up his sleeve whenever his guests stop by the show and this time it was no different. Sure enough, he had something really fun in mind for the Stranger Things crew. They were going to sing Motown! It's clearly never a dull moment over at The Late Late Show With James Corden studio.
The boys and James created a little pre-taped segment about their Motown group, The Upside Downs, with a “Behind The Music” tone. In their video, Finn and the other boys joked about the boy band gigs they used to play at kids birthday parties, retirement homes, and more, and about how they all went to school with James Corden. James and the young cast of Stranger Things all donned matching suits to play their part. Apparently, Stranger Things was born from their days in The Upside Downs.
The story goes that while performing in their Motown group at a wedding, Caleb explains that a Netflix executive came up to them to say that they were creating a show and the boys would be a perfect fit. Sure enough, 4/5 of the boy band got cast, but James didn't make it as Eleven. They went their separate ways but decided to reunite for the first time since then. Of course, they're all kidding when it comes to the origin story, but their singing skills are no joke.
If you've never heard these kids sing before, you need to! Who knew that Caleb had such an amazing voice? If he ever wants to stop acting, he could easily have a career as a singer! It comes as no surprise that Gaten's voice is good, given his Broadway background. Which Stranger Things boy has the best voice in your opinion?
