Fans Accuse Selena Gomez Lip-Syncing Her AMAs Performance of “Wolves”

Uh oh! Selena Gomez found herself in some hot water after making her first musical appearance since undergoing a kidney transplant. During the 2017 American Music Awards, a newly-blonde Selena (we'll get to that later) took the stage to sing her new single, “Wolves.” However, while many were excited to see her, others have accused her of actually lip-syncing the song.

Unfortunately, immediately after her performance, fans flooded Twitter with savage comments convinced that Selena wasn't actually singing.

Meanwhile, Selenators came to her defense by blaming it on the fact that she just underwent a serious surgery and so we should all give her a break.

But aside from being slammed for lip-syncing (which TBH, it's all that rare when it comes to televised performances, even if you do have the pipes), Selena made headlines after she showed up on the red carpet with platinum blonde hair! Yes, BLONDE! We never thought we'd see the day since she's been a brunette for her whole life. Maybe her rekindled romance with Justin Bieber inspired the change? As many noted on Twitter “new ‘do, old bae.”

After stunning the crowd at the AMAs, the 25-year-old posted her new look on Instagram too. Justin, as well as two million of her fans, liked the pic.

so i am blonde now
