The OG Sabrina The Teenage Witch Cast Reunite To Gush Over The Iconic Show
With all the hype surrounding the upcoming Netlfix reboot, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, we can’t help but think about the OG series we all grew up watching. It’s safe to say we can all agree that Sabrina the Teenage Witch is just one of those shows we will never (ever) forget. So, when Melissa Joan Hart and the rest of the cast got together to celebrate Sabrina’s 15th anniversary since its finale, we were thrilled! As it turns out, the shows holds a special place in their hearts, too.
The OG Sabrina ran for seven seasons between 1996 to 2003 (oh man, we’re old), and became one of the most iconic shows of the nineties. Not only was it funny, but it taught us all about love, life, and even style! Also, who can forget all the one-liners from Salem the cat? Truly epic.
Entertainment Weekly caught up with the whole gang at Comic-Con last fall, where everyone including – MJH, Nick Bakay (Salem), Caroline Rhea (Aunt Hilda), and more discussed the success of Sabrina.
“It owned a generation of girls,” Nick said, while Caroline thinks it’s “sort of a miracle” that the series is so popular till this day. Meanwhile, Beth Broderick (Aunt Zelda), says fans still come up to her to talk about Sabrina the Teenage Witch. “I still have young women come up to me and say, ‘You were my childhood, you’re like my second mom. I listened to your advice when I was 9 and you were right,'” she said. How cute!
Melissa, who starred as the titular character in the hit series, refers to her role as Sabrina as one of the most defining moments in her career. In fact, she knows it was iconic.
“Every actor wants to have that one role that’s iconic, that speaks to people, that people relate to,” she told EW. “When fans come to us and say, ‘We grew up with you,’ that is the biggest compliment we could ever receive for working hard all those years… It just makes us feel good that so many people enjoyed it and enjoyed our work and what more can you ask for?”
Although the actress starred in so many other shows, such as Clarissa Explains It All and Melissa & Joey, we’ll always remember her as Sabrina. So, when the reboot was announced, we couldn’t imagine anyone else who could fill in her shoes. We think Kiernan Shipka just might be up for the challenge. After all, the two roles will likely be pretty different considering the very different tones of the shows.
WOOOWWWW!!! HIII!!! Thank you!

Talk about two worlds colliding! We know we say this all the time, but we’re still holding out hope that Melissa – or any other OG Sabrina star – makes a cameo in the new Chilling Adventures of Sabrina!
