Stelena fans were treated to the reunion of their dreams after Vampire Diaries alums Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley met up in New York City over the weekend. It hasn't even been a year since TVD ended (we're still not over that finale BTW), yet this reunion is exactly what we all needed. Also, the fact that they reunited on a snowy December night just makes it all feel a little more serendipitous.

But what's an epic reunion without a selfie for the ‘gram? Luckily, Nina provided the proof with an adorable caption to go with it. “NYC when it’s snowing is full of serendipitous run ins and magical reunions. Like this one. #TVDForever #NYCNOW,” she wrote.

The pic garnered more than two million likes and over 70,000 comments in less than one day. Name another TV ship that can do that! Although, it's incredibly unlikely, let's just point out that the former co-stars are both currently single. Nina and Glen Powell are taking a break from their relationship, while Paul recently split from on-again, off-again girlfriend, Phoebe Tonkin. We're just saying that them getting together in real life would literally be the greatest thing to happen — especially because we know that there are no hard feelings between Nina and ex-boyfriend/former TVD co-star, Ian Somerhalder.

TVD fans were obviously over the moon about the reunion. After all, who doesn't like the see your favorite TV show characters get together IRL!

However, some made sure to point out that although Nina and Paul met up, the show's true end game will always be Delena (aka Nina and Ian's character, Damon).

Even executive producer Julie Plec reacted to the reunion.

Julie, who is a Delena shipper, had said Stelena could have stood a chance if Nina hadn't left the show at the end of season six. “I wanted to see if there was a way to bring Stefan and Elena back together one more time,” she revealed. “But Nina left the show and that sealed Delena in for life.”

Since wrapping up TVD earlier this year, both Nina and Paul have been working on projects of their own. The actress will star in a number of upcoming films, including Departures and Dog Days, while Paul has directed episodes of Shadowhunters and will appear in the TV movie Fabled. Seems like they're both up to great things!
