Every time we remember that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are back together, it feels like it’s 2010 all over again. It seems like their relationship is in a better place than it’s ever been, but don’t expect them to walk down the aisle anytime soon. In fact, newest reports state that Miley and Liam’s wedding might be a long way off, so it’s probably better not to get too excited about their future nuptials just yet.

According to what a source close to the happy couple told Entertainment Tonight, although they’re wearing their rings again and thinking about their future together, they’re working on their own schedules first. Supposedly, the timing hasn’t been right for them to make things official until now, but that doesn’t mean that they’re rushing to make the biggest commitments of their lives. Instead, it sounds like they’re just enjoying the time they’re spending together as an engaged couple — and using it to plan exactly the wedding they both want.

“Miley has come up with all sorts of different wedding plans,” the insider said. “She is always creative and thinking of new ideas that will make her experience different.”

Reportedly, Miley wants to have a ranch wedding that will pay tribute to her country upbringing, which we could totally see. And for now, the source says she’s keeping things on the down low, not even telling her closest friends what she’s planning just to keep everything as private as possible. We get that, too — who wants to make a huge day in your life even more stressful with paparazzi and media attention, especially when your relationship has been so high profile from the start?

“The first time they announced their engagement in 2012, they felt such pressure to make it the most spectacular wedding in the world but that was the downfall of their relationship and lead to their break up,” the source said. “This has been such a long drawn out process that they joke about the idea that when they finally get married people won’t believe it’s real!”

Don’t worry, Miley — we’ll believe it’s real, especially when the undoubtedly gorgeous wedding photos start rolling in. They’ve both been through so much since their relationship began after they met on the set of The Last Song in 2009, so their wedding (whenever it might be) will totally be worth the wait. Whatever they’re planning is going to be epic… and at the end of the day, seeing these two married and living happily ever after is going to be amazing.
