Teen Mom OG star Ryan Edwards’s week just keeps getting worse. Last week, he was arrested on drugs-related charges right after it was revealed his wife, Mackenzie Standifer, is expecting their first child. Then, several women came out and said they’d been talking to the to-be father of two on Tinder.

Now his ex, Maci Bookout, is seeking protection against him after claiming that he threatened to hurt her on more than one occasion. As it turns out, Maci filed for a protective order against Ryan before his arrest which left fans wondering what led her to make this kind of decision. Well, according to court documents obtained by E! News, she did it out of fear of what he’s capable of.

“He has left voicemail messages threatening to show up at my house and take my son. He has made threats to show up and hurt me if I don’t answer my phone,” Maci alleges in the documents.

The reality star also claims that her ex once showed up to their son’s baseball game “under the influence of heroine [sic],” where he got in her face to yell and threaten her.

“I fear for my son’s safety because of these threats and proof that he drives while under the influence,” Maci added, referring to the time Ryan was caught driving high by MTV’s cameras as he drove to his first wedding to Mackenzie. “His behavior and actions are getting worse, I am fearful for my three children and myself, and what he may do, based on his threats.”

If Maci’s claims are true, we don’t blame her for not wanting anything to do with Ryan. Not only does it put her life at risk, but also the lives of her three children, Bentley, Jayde, and Maverick.

To make matters so much worse, Radar Online reports that Ryan even threatened to shoot Maci’s husband, Taylor McKinney, in the head. “He called me on Tuesday, March 20th, 2018 and threatened to show up at my house and put a bullet in my head,” Taylor claims. “The police were called and they suggested to seek an order of protection.”

Ryan sought treatment for heroin addiction in May 2017, though he checked out of rehab after only completing 21 days of a 30-day program.

“I made the decision to check myself into a rehabilitation facility. I am back home now doing well, and life could not be better,” he said in a statement at the time. “Without the support of my wife and parents, I would not have been able to do this. Thank you all for your well wishes.”

Just after his return, Maci refused to let their shared son Bentley go to Ryan’s until the 30-year-old passed a drug test. He claimed that he wouldn’t be able to pass the test because of how long traces of the drug stay in your hair. Maci said a urine test would suffice, though he still didn’t take it.

Though Ryan’s wife Mackenzie claims he’s still clean from drugs, Maci’s court documents prove that Ryan might still be struggling with addiction. As of right now, the court issued Maci a temporary order of protection, so we’ll just have to wait and see how this plays out.
