E!

Oh, Kim! We love you, but this is a big no-no. In case you haven't had a chance to scroll through Instagram in the last couple of days, Kim Kardashian posted a photo of herself sucking on a lollipop. Sounds innocent enough, right? Yes, until you read the caption. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star shared an ad to promote appetite suppressant lollipop. As you can imagine, her post was immediately met with backlash with users calling Kim “irresponsible” and “toxic.”

“You guys… @flattummyco just dropped a new product. They’re Appetite Suppressant Lollipops and they’re literally unreal,” Kim wrote alongside the endorsement. Even though she deleted the Instagram post after a few hours (likely because of the widespread negative responses), the fact that she'd promote the product in the first place had fans up in arms. What made it even worse is that Kim later shared the ad on her Instagram Story. Instead of including details about the weight loss lollipop, she simply posted the message, “First 500 get 15% off! @flatttummyco.”

We're all here for Kardashian weight loss and exercise secrets, but her advertisement could give young girls the wrong message, especially considering the fact the Kim is one of the biggest influencers in the world. The Good Place star Jameela Jamil (who plays Tehani on the show) seems to agree, which is why she blasted Kim on Twitter, branding her a “terrible and toxic influence on young girls.”

“MAYBE don’t take appetite suppressors and eat enough to fuel your BRAIN and work hard and be successful. And to play with your kids. And to have fun with your friends. And to have something to say about your life at the end, other than ‘I had a flat stomach,'” she wrote in a second tweet.

OUCH. The actress definitely isn't afraid to let the world know how furious and upset she is. Not many celebrities take the time to call Kim or any of the Kardashians out (probably because they don't want to be involved in any Kardashian-related drama), but Jameela did not hold back. Kim has yet to respond to Jameela, or to the angry and concerned messages in the comments, but we doubt she will.

According to the company's website, 1-2 pops per day will help “control food intake, cravings, and weight.” It's incredibly dangerous for anyone to think that they could lose weight by *only* eating this lollipop. The Kardashian family have a long association with Flat Tummy Co, the brand behind the appetite suppressant lollipops. While we understand that this is part of their job as influencers (to promote products), perhaps Kim should consider who she'll affect before posting ads like the one she did.
