The mystery of Karlie Kloss and Taylor Swift’s relationship status has been solved! After months of speculation regarding the besties' friendship and whether or not they've had a falling out, the model has finally set the record straight. In a new interview with The New York Times, she very briefly addressed the feud rumors and according to Karlie, there is no ~bad blood~ between the two BFFs. In other words, her friendship with Taylor is definitely not over and that she's still a member of her girl squad.

“Don't believe everything you read,” Karlie told the NYT. She also went on to say that the two still talk regularly and remain great friends. So, that's all she had to say? Yep, she kept it super simple, but that totally makes sense since anything any celebrity says these days can be easily misconstrued.

In January, Karlie was accused of throwing shade after using the caption “Swish, swish” on a basketball-themed photo she posted on Instagram. If you're familiar with Taylor's feud with Katy Perry, then you know that the lyric comes from a Katy Perry song that's considered Katy's reply to Taylor's 2014 diss track, “Bad Blood.” She later had to edit the caption to “Nothing but net” because of all the backlash.

Then, Karlie was actually spotted hanging out with Katy in Los Angeles, which Swifties saw as a MAJOR betrayal of girl code.

However, that wasn't the only clue that something might be up between Karlie and T.Swift. Feud rumors first surfaced after Taylor left Karlie’s name off of her T-shirt in one of the scenes from the “Look What You Made Me Do” music video. Other squad members like Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid were featured, so if Karlie and Taylor were as close as they've been in the past, many assumed her name would've been scrawled on the tee-shirt as well.

The only time Karlie has addressed rumors (other than this new interview) is when she called Kim Kardashian a “lovely person” in the midst of Taylor's feud with Kanye West over his song “Famous.” She received so much backlash that she had no choice but to defend herself.

“I will not allow the media to misconstrue my words. Taylor has always had my back and I will always have hers,” she wrote on Twitter at the time.

Since then, we feel like things haven't quite been the same between the superstar and supermodel. But, there's always a natural ebb and flow in friendships and just because they're not tight as ever at the moment doesn't mean they're sworn enemies, either. After all, they're both incredibly busy with their own lives.

TBH, we haven't really seen Taylor hang out with any of her squad members in a really long time. The only person we know for sure she sees is Camila Cabello and that's because they're going on tour together this spring.

At the end of the day, sometimes friends need to grow apart for a little bit before coming back together. It's the way of life… even for famous people.
