We always knew Justin Bieber was a good guy, but every once in a while, his actions make us question whether or not that's entirely true. But over the weekend, our boy JB proved that not all heroes wear capes. While everyone was partying at Coachella, the “Sorry” singer allegedly defended a woman who was being assaulted by a man. TMZ reports Justin punched a partygoer in the face after he aggressively grabbed a woman by the throat. Scary, right? Luckily, Justin was there to save the day.

According to the website, Justin was relaxing with friends at a Coachella party held by Patrick Schwarzenegger when he noticed a man getting violent. “Justin and his friend started screaming at the guy to let her go, but he only screamed back ‘Go f*ck yourself,'” TMZ reported. After the man refused to release his grip on the woman, Justin hit him in the face and pushed him against a wall, allowing the woman to go free. Sources at the Coachella party also said the man appeared to be on drugs and it looked as if the woman may have been his ex-girlfriend.

We know what you're thinking: Why wasn't there any security there to stop the situation? Well, considering how many people attend the festival, it's hard to keep an eye out on everything that goes on. Also, we know that violence isn’t always the answer, but in this case, Justin's response seemed totally appropriate.

TMZ also reported that the man later chased an SUV believing that Justin was inside. He was screaming Justin's name and hitting the vehicle. Thankfully, the man was eventually arrested.

But Justin's weekend wasn't just about saving people's lives. The 24-year-old also hung out with singer Post Malone, took some selfies with Mason Ramsey (a.k.a. The Walmart Yodeling Boy from YouTube), and fans even caught him dancing shirtless to some reggae music.

Justin's on-again off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez was noticeably absent from the festival. Instead, she opted for some Target-bought wine with friends. TBH, she probably made the right call to skip Coachella this year since The Weeknd was also there to perform songs from his new album, My Dear Melancholy, which fans widely believe is about Selena and their recent break up.

As for where Justin and Selena stand, it still remains unclear. Recent reports suggest that the two are taking time a part to focus on themselves. However, they're on very good terms.

“They both know a serious relationship right now is just too much to take on,” a source told Entertainment Tonight last week. “It’s been a weird few weeks for Selena. She’s tired of taking on other people’s dramas and just wants to continue focusing on herself.”

We hope they figure out a way to work things out. In the meantime, Justin seems pretty content with spreading good vibes and regulating violent behavior! We're proud of him.
