We've been a little worried about Justin Bieber this week, y'all. Although he's obviously been busy celebrating his engagement to Hailey Baldwin, he was spotted with his fiancée broken down in tears on Tuesday… and now, it seems we finally know why, thanks to what he told TMZ. Nobody said preparing to spend the rest of your life with someone was easy!

In case you're out of the loop, the crying incident happened while Justin and Hailey were out riding bikes together in New York City. Normally, this is a pretty fun thing to do, so it's a little surprising that he'd be so emotional, and understandably, fans were concerned. Later, Hailey Baldwin started sobbing as well. And if you were worried that this means there's trouble in paradise, don't be — it seems like everything is just fine between these two.

In TMZ‘s footage, Justin's greeting fans who waited for him outside of Hailey's apartment on Wednesday night, and he seems like he's super happy, in direct contrast to how he was acting the other day. He was dancing, chatting and laughing with his fans, and taking photos with them, and when TMZ asked him why he was crying, he had a pretty simple answer prepared.

Justin showed the camera the book he was holding — The Meaning of Marriage: Facing The Complexities of Commitment With the Wisdom of God by Timothy Keller and Kathy Keller — and grinned at the photographer.

“You've got good days and you've got bad days,” he said. “It's not real if it doesn't have any bad days.”

A true piece of insight, straight from the Biebs' mouth to our ears. And honestly, he's right — in any relationship (especially one heading toward marriage at warp speed) there are always going to be good days and bad days. It's just something that happens. And sometimes, those bad days can bring you closer together, which, hopefully, is what happened with Justin and Hailey.

And in a way, it's kind of refreshing to see that Justin's not afraid to cry in front of Hailey on his bad days. That shows a pretty solid level of emotional intelligence, which is crazy important if you're going to make a lifetime commitment to someone. Getting married is such a big deal, and while getting your advice from a book isn't everyone's cup of tea, obviously, it's working for Justin.

Go ahead, Justin — don't be afraid to cry if you need to. Nobody's judging here!
