MTV Fires Jenelle’s Husband from Teen Mom 2 After Homophobic Twitter Rant
Teen Mom 2 just got rid of an allegedly homophobic cast member and we are here for it. MTV announced that they have fired Jenelle Evans‘s husband, David Eason, from his role on the reality show after he went on a homophobic Twitter rant earlier this week. When the tweets went viral, fans immediately expressed outrage over his comments and demanded that David suffer the consequences of his actions. MTV heard them loud and clear which is why the network issued a statement revealing that they have decided to “end their relationship” with him immediately.
Official statement from @MTVPress: David Eason’s personal comments do not reflect the views of MTV. With six weeks left of production on ‘Teen Mom 2,’ effective immediately, we are ending our relationship with him.

It all began when a Twitter user suggested that David limit the exposure of unnecessary weaponry around his home and children. Apparently, the message did not sit well him.
“And just what makes you think you have the right to tell me how to be a parent? Because you think you know me? LMAO why don't you go tell the homo and transgender parents to start teaching their kids better morals?” he reportedly fired back. “Oh I forgot, that's supposed to be normal.”
Then when another Twitter user asked him if he was going to teach his children to hate gay and transgender people, David reportedly replied, “No, I'm going to teach them not to associate with them or be that way.” To make matters even worse, he added, “if you lay down with dogs you get up with fleas.”
He ended his rant by referring to members of the LGBTQ community as an “abomination.” After fans criticized David for his homophobic statements, Jenelle came to her husband's defense in a statement to TMZ.
“David doesn't hate people from the LGBT community,” she said. “My old manager was gay and used to be one of me and David's close friends. We attended Farrah [Abraham]‘s birthday in Miami with a lot of LGBT people there and he didn't act in any type of way. We went had a good time and left.” She also stated, “He agrees he will keep his comments to himself from now on.”
“We are sorry for the comments that were made,” Jenelle added. However, the damage was done and MTV made it clear that they no longer want a relationship with David.
There is no word yet on whether or not Jenelle will continue on the show. However, as many Teen Mom 2 fans know, she usually does a lot of filming with David and her children. Their current situation could be problematic for production seeing as MTV does not want anything to do with him.
Considering Farrah's has had a lot of recent tension with the Teen Mom franchise in recent months and Jenelle's relationship with them is in jeopardy – MTV could be losing its two most dramatic cast members!
