Demi Lovato is not happy with Time‘s decision to honor Donald Trump as runner-up in their Person of the Year issue. After the magazine announced that the “Silence Breakers” earned the coveted title, people were surprised to see that the President came in second. In other words, how could they let a man who's been accused of sexual assault come in second to a group of women who shared their personal stories about being sexually assaulted? Sounds pretty hypocritical, doesn't it?

Well, Demi definitely seems to think so. The “Tell Me You Love Me” singer shared her opinion on Twitter, slamming Time for being shady.

Her criticism didn't end there since she also voiced her disappointment in the magazine. She also revealed the reason why she's kept pretty quiet when it comes to politics. She's also a public supporter of Hillary Clinton, so her disdain for Trump goes beyond just Time‘s POTY honor.

As previously reported, Time honored “the voices that launched a movement” as their POTY, which included celebrities like Taylor Swift, Ashley Judd, Rose McGowan, Selma Blair and Terry Crews. Inside the magazine, they all shared their stories of sexual assault, including details about Harvey Weinstein and DJ David Mueller.

Fans immediately agreed that honoring Trump as runner-up is pretty confusing, but some of Demi's followers did point out that the title is generally given to the person with the greatest impact on the news. We can all agree that Trump is always on the news, however, Demi had a response for that too.

She does make a valid point and TBH many of us were probably thinking the exact same thing when we saw Trump's name in the magazine. We guess the POTY goes to the person (or group in this case) who influenced the news the most – whether it's bad or good. However, it doesn't take away from the fact that putting “The Silence Breakers” and Donald Trump right next to each other isn't cool.
