American Horror Story: Apocalypse Brings Back All Your AHS Cast Faves

This fall, American Horror Story is giving fans what they've been asking for: a Murder House and Coven crossover. And now that new details have been released about the upcoming season, there's even more to be excited about. On Tuesday, showrunner Ryan Murphy tweeted an American Horror Story: Apocalypse cast update, and so many fan favorites will be returning — even in their original roles from previous seasons.

Earlier this summer, news broke that the crossover was happening, although at the time, we didn't have many details. Even now, it's unclear how the show is going to make these two different worlds from the anthology meet, but we do know that there will be plenty of familiar faces this season. This week also brought the news that Jessica Lange would be returning as her Murder House character, Constance Langdon, and as it turns out, she'll be joined by a lot of other big names.

“Guess who's coming back for AHS APOCALYPSE?” Ryan tweeted. “Taissa Farmiga, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy and….Stevie Nicks. So thrilled the family is together again!”

Being that some of these ladies, like Taissa, Lily, and Frances, have been on both Murder House and Coven, it's hard to say which role they'll be reprising in Apocalypse… but with so many witches due to appear, it makes sense that Taissa and Lily would show up as their Coven characters. Or maybe Ryan's planning on getting super confusing and have them play multiple characters on one season! Hmm…

In a separate tweet, Ryan also announced that Cody Fern would be playing Michael Langdon from Murder House… who we haven't seen since he was a toddler. Being that he's the anti-christ who's supposed to bring the end of the world, it makes sense that he'd show back up in Apocalypse.

And as Variety pointed out, these aren't the only actors who will return. Already announced are Evan Peters, Emma RobertsSarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, and Billie Lourd. Are you pumped yet? We are, because this is an amazing cast.

AHS also dropped its first promo for the season, which is just as creepy as the ones we've seen in the past. This one features all kinds of weird images that are definitely symbols for things we'll see in the show, even if it's hard to decode early on. Pentagrams, radioactive activity, explosions… it seems like there's a lot to look forward to in this season.

American Horror Story: Apocalypse is set to premiere September 12 on FX, which means there's less than a month to go until all our questions are answered. Mainly: is Emma Roberts's Madison alive again somehow?! We need to know.
