In the latest edition of Gwyneth Paltrow‘s luxury lifestyle magazine masquerading as a common sense, mom-to-mom advice newsletter, Gwynnie takes a moment out of recommending brands of artisanal water to talk about some of her Oscar fashion missteps. She's just like us!

In the Q+A section of her newsletter, someone who is totally not named Gwyneth Paltrow asks her what her favorite Oscar outfits have been, then follows it up with the question, “any faux pas?” To which she replies:

Well, I started being photographed in the 90's so of course there are a few glaring ones. Two that come to mind are looks I wore to the Oscars in 2000 and 2002. The first is the Calvin Klein. It's an okay dress but not Oscars material. I chose it because I wanted to disappear that year. Also, the goth Alexander McQueen I wore a few years later. There were a few issues; I still love the dress itself but I should have worn a bra and I should have just had simple beachy hair and less makeup. Then, it would have worked as I wanted it to – a little bit of punk at the Oscars.

OMG, sometimes I forget to wear a bra under my Alexander McQueen Oscar dress too! Gwyneth Paltrow is so down to earth.

Does this make you like her more, or does it only fan the flames of your extreme anti-Gwyneth bias? Personally, I think it's interesting to hear what kind of thinking went into a celebrity's red carpet blunder (her first mistake? thinking she could ever be “punk”), but I'm not sure if she will ever be able to dig herself out of that PR hole she dug herself when she decided to position GOOP as the “regular mom” advice email I mentioned in the intro. Sorry, girl.
