Are Monetary Rewards Effective Against Teen Pregnancy?
College Bound Sisters wants to make sure teen girls are getting the education they need and not getting pregnant. How do they plan to do so? By rewarding all the girls who participate in their program! To qualify for the program, the teen must be between ages 12-16, have a sister who had a baby before 18 and want to attend college. Once accepted, the girls must attend quarterly meetings with their parents. Then she'll get $7 per week that she participated, with all the money earned stowed away until she enrolls in college.
