Winter Break, Packing and Leaving.
Hey everyone,

I'm finally done with classes, final projects and final exams at IU! Woohoo! It feels so good do be done with all my academic stuff for the semester. I love being home for winter break because all my old friends from high school are in town, too, and we all get together to catch up. I'm also going to Florida with my family for nine days! It'll be so nice to get out of freezing cold Ohio for a few days and maybe even get a tan!

Another big undertaking during my winter break will be packing for London. The airlines limit you to two checked bags, one carry-on and one personal item (purse/backpack -- I always have both and sometimes when I travel they make me stick my purse into my backpack, which is usually always jammed packed already). Getting a four-month wardrobe into two-and-a-half bags is going to be interesting. Luckily one of my favorite magazines ran a feature story this month on how to create various outfits using a few staple items. So, I've employed my sister to be my assistant as I try to create multiple outfits using a few pieces as possible. We made it fun, each time I tried on a new outfit my sister would make me walk like a runway model down the hall, and then she'd snap a picture. After several hours I managed to create four months worth of outfits that would fit -- with room to spare (for shopping in London of course).

Saying goodbye to my family was hard but since I spend most of my time at IU, away from them anyway, I have it admit it wasn't terribly difficult. I can't tell if I'm more excited or nervous at this point.

Off I go! Next time you'll be hearing from me I'll be amongst the Brits and hopefully over my jet lag.
