The end of my study abroad program marked the end of my junior year, so I am now officially a senior in college -- wow! I can't believe it! It feels so surreal. I've got to admit that everyone who told me that time would fly was right. It really has.
It's Lindsey's last blog with us! Leave her a sweet goodbye note after the jump.
OMG! If I have to take one more disastrous final I think I will lose my mind. Clearly the traveling and exploring distracted me from my studies more than I realized, as I am now cramming for exams. I don't like coming out of exams feeling uneasy about how my grades will end up and that's how I've felt all week! On top of finals and packing, my family is in town visiting. It's great to see them but also a bit stressful.
Lindsey's having one stressful week! Read on for details on her last week in London.
My family comes to visit this Thursday! Yay! I can't wait to see them. This is the longest I've ever gone without seeing my parents and sister. I might break down with tears of joy when I see them. Thursday can't come fast enough! Since they are going to be here for a week, this was my last free weekend with my friends in London and I made the most of it.
Find out what went down on her last weekend.
Well, I have good news and bad news. I guess I should start with the bad news since I believe in always ending with a positive, so here we go. Bad news: the drama within my group of friends has reached its peak. Everyone has been crying and fighting and tension is in the air.
Yikes -- get the deets.
As promised... An update on how the lunch date with Sam went. Ready for this? He's WAY younger than me -- well not wayyy younger but the age of my younger sister (which is weird for me). I had no idea that he was only 18 (while I am 20) until we were mid-lunch. He seemed so much older/mature when we first met. Anyway, once I found out his age our date became awkward and I know, "age is just a number," but it's just too odd for me to consider dating someone my sister's age, so that's over!
Don't feel too bad for her! She met another cutie in Dublin. Read all about it!
Love life is heating up again! I've got a lunch date today with Sam, an American boy from Connecticut who lives and studies here in London. He actually lives really close to me (in South Kensington -- 10 min walk from my residence hall). The fact that he lives close is definitely a nice convenience. It will be interesting to see where this goes because I only have one month left in London!

I love Shakespeare! I'm such an English Literature nerd, but I love it. Friday was one of the best days of my life because I visited Stratford Upon Avon -- the birthplace and burial place of Shakespeare.

Half Term!!! That's what they call the break that happens six weeks into the spring semester over here in London. I guess it was my "spring break" since we only have another six weeks of study left now. Anyway, for my "spring break/half-term" I went to Rome with Emily. It was the trip of a lifetime! I don't think I will ever forget walking through the Coliseum and climbing through ancient Greek ruins. Did you know that there were palm trees and orange trees in Rome? Because I didn't and it totally surprised me when we got there and I saw them all around.
I am so excited right now! My friend Sara and I woke up super early today and rushed over to the box office for Spring Awakening, a new musical, and we got free on-stage seating tickets!! Eight of them! So we get to bring everyone along. I saw it in NYC but I didn't get to sit on stage! Ahh yay! I can't wait for tonight. We all should really be staying in and studying for our midterms, which are this week, but we can't pass up on-stage free seating. I will finish this entry when I get back from the show...
How did the rest of her night pan out? Find out after the jump!
Wow, midterms are next week! Where has the time gone?! I feel like it went a bit slow at first and now it's going way too fast. I had a bit of an emotional breakdown last night. It was the first time I've felt homesick since I have been here.
Aww -- poor Linds. Find out what happened and cheer Lindsey up after the jump!
The snow day made my week a breeze, but I had a jam-packed weekend that left me sooo tired, but in a good way. On Friday I went with my entire study abroad program to Stonehenge, which is a circle of rocks that was built in several stages from 2800-1800 BC (see my pic). Mystery surrounds this monument. No one has any idea why it was built. The best guess is that it is a sort of solar calendar.
What other London tourist spots did Lindsey hit up? You know what to do.
I had a great weekend in London. Friday night, my friend Marc from Indiana University was in town and getting to see him was great! Made me a bit homesick though.
How did Lindsey spend her weekend? Find out!
Since I've been in London for about three weeks now my roomie and I decided we were ready for a weekend adventure. We decided to take the Eurostar (a high speed train that goes under water) to Paris for the weekend! We left Thursday afternoon and arrived in Paris Thursday night.

I am officially in London! It's so exciting to finally be here and it's been go-go-go since I arrived. Upon arrival, without my luggage -- which is a story I'm not even getting into -- I unpacked what I had with me and began to explore my new home Chelsea, London. This area is very residential and posh. There are cute cafes, pubs and shops.
How is Lindsey adjusting over the pond? Keep reading!
I'm finally done with classes, final projects and final exams at IU! Woohoo! It feels so good do be done with all my academic stuff for the semester. I love being home for winter break because all my old friends from high school are in town, too, and we all get together to catch up. I'm also going to Florida with my family for nine days! It'll be so nice to get out of freezing cold Ohio for a few days and maybe even get a tan!
What's going on with Lindsey's London plans? Read on!
Hey everyone, I'm back!
Remember me from this summer? The alloy intern who loves to run and shop? I am back and blogging again about another one of my adventures -- studying abroad! I'll be spending my spring semester (four whole months!) in London and can't wait. Time couldn't be going any slower as I sit here in my last class of the semester at Indiana University in Bloomington, writing this entry (instead of listening to my professor blab on about poetry). I am so ready to be in London this spring!
