The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: Brandi Glanville, Adrienne Maloof and Yet Another Dinner Party From Hell

Adrienne Maloof Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

When we last left The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, all hell had broken loose over  Brandi Glanville spilling the big Adrienne Maloof secret. The Maloofs got pretty heated before storming out of a party thrown by Kyle Richards’ hottie husband, Mauricio. Things have calmed down since the outburst, but that doesn’t mean these women aren’t still talking about it constantly. Rehashing past problems is a large pastime of these women. To try and take away some of the tension brewing, Kim Richards decides to plan a trip to Las Vegas for her son’s birthday—and forgets to invite her sister, Kyle.

Kim has been so different this season. I’m not sure why she thinks going to Las Vegas would be a good idea when you’re a recovering alcoholic, but I guess that all makes sense in the mind of Kim. She even recognizes it as being “dangerous,” but still decides to go and spend time with her son. Kim also was the one who sparked the fight between The Maloofs and Brandi. She thought it would be a brilliant idea to tell The Maloofs all the shit that Brandi had been talking at a really important event.

Kyle has been one of my favorite Bravo housewives for a while now. She seems very real, genuine, kind and caring. She’s been through hell and back with her sister and still stands strong. She also has one of the hottest husbands in Bravo history. Kyle is throwing a dinner party at her house with all the housewives plus (the morally corrupt) Faye Resnick. I adore The Morally Corrupt Faye Resnick because she was a huge instigator in season one’s Dinner Party From Hell. Here is my question: when will these women stop having dinner parties? Dinner parties in Housewifeland never ever, ever, ever end well! It always ends in screaming, yelling, crying, etc. It’s made clear before the dinner party that The Morally Corrupt Faye Resnick has an issue with Brandi and doesn’t approve of her “mean girl mentality,” which I can get on board with. I know it’s all good TV, and I know that it’s not a good season if there is no dinner party that ends in shambles.

This dinner party is a recipe for disaster (sorry for the pun, but I couldn’t help myself), and though the build up is a little bit of this and a little bit of that, Bravo really likes to drag out the main event. We don’t care about Yolanda Foster’s workout routine. That is just boring filler scenes that leave us yawning. I prefer Brandi’s anxiety attacks and Lisa Vanderpump’s conversation with her employee that had sex with Brandi’s husband. That is the intrigue. That is the reason we all watch. Sorry Yolanda, but you’re kind of boring and not cut out of this show. Prove me wrong, please. I am still kind of rooting for you.

But anyway, back to the dinner party! Kyle has arranged a four-course meal for eight women. Kind of outrageous and gluttonous, but hey, it’s Beverly Hills! And Taylor Armstrong needs to eat more, so I am going to be okay with the excess food. All the women begin to arrive, including Camille Grammar (the love of my life) and Brandi who gets the immediate stank eye from The Morally Corrupt Faye Resnick. Here is my question: have Camille and The Morally Corrupt Faye Resnick patched things up? We remember the first season’s confrontation between the two where Faye got her nickname that Camille gave her. I’m assuming since they’re breaking bread together (and sitting next to each other) that things must be alright between the two. I hope so at least. Famille forever.

At the dinner, everyone is talking about Adrienne and the fight between she and Brandi. Brandi starts to talk about Adrienne’s alleged fake “book deal” that she bought and the rest of the women feebly try to attempt and defend her. The Morally Corrupt Faye Resnick is a little feisty and reprimands Brandi’s insults, which Brandi quickly brushes off. The Morally Corrupt Faye Resnick then addresses Brandi again and asks what Adrienne ever did to her. She then just keeps pushing for information and harassing Brandi. I’m sorry, but why does this have anything to do with The Morally Corrupt Faye Resnick? Why is she butting in? It has absolutely nothing to do with her! I hate when people think they know everything (Faye) and then harass and berate other (Brandi). She then suggests that Brandi sends Adrienne flowers. Clearly annoyed, Lisa tries to defend Brandi. In turn, Kyle and Lisa start to bicker back and forth. The Morally Corrupt Faye Resnick keeps on going against Brandi for obvious camera time. I don't know if she thinks that she is defending Kyle or Kim or whomever, but she went way too far. And here we go again, another dinner party that ends with a fight. I mean; it’s good TV. I get that, but when will these women learn? How do they not all have crippling anxiety? I’d be in therapy every week.
