If You’re Not Up For A Full Season Of The Bachelorette, There Are Already Finale Spoilers

By  |

Andi Dorfman blowing rose petals in The Bachelorette promo shotAs some of you may know, The Bachelorette returned last night for its tenth season. I'll say that again. The Bachelorette has been on the air for ten years. I thought I might end up tuning in at some point, but somehow I never got up the energy to turn on my television during those two endless hours between 8:00 and 10:00 as Andi Dorfman breathlessly introduced herself and her quest to find a TV-husband.

And I imagine I'm not the only person in that position — totally burned out on this franchise. I know a lot of people are still into it, but I can't even make it through a whole season still liking the main person, so I don't know if there's any more hope for me. Juan Pablo Galavis and his douchiness officially destroyed my desire to watch the show even as an anthropological study. Sigh.

But for once my listlessness has paid off, because Reality Steve already has spoilers from the finale! (And they start in the next paragraph, so proceed with caution!) Literally on the same day that the premiere aired, he was able to post details about the finale, which won't air until July 28th. He doesn't know the exact details of every episode leading up to it, but he's able to tell us who win! And before you write this off as just a rumor, you should know that he has the video to prove it.

Here come the spoilers! Watch out!

Nick Viall The Bachelorette season ten bio May 2014 On May 11th, someone took a video of Nick Viall, one of the contestants viewers would have met last night, on US Airways Flight 3837 from Charlotte to Milwaukee. He's talking loudly on the phone to someone, and his two favorite topics are Josh Murray, one of the other contestants on the show, and his own time with Andi.

It's hard to hear the video because there's so much background noise, but Steve transcribed everything, so I've included a few chunks that you might find particularly interesting, and explained why:

:36-:50…“And I just kept saying it, just cuz I wanted…you know…and I said to her, I’m like ‘You don’t think I…’ and then, you know, instead of arguing with her I said, ‘You know what? I disagree.’ And I just left it at that…You know, I didn’t try to change her mind, I’m just like, ‘I disagree.’”

This quote and the fact that Nick is on a flight back to his hometown two days after the final rose ceremony both suggest that he was eliminated at that ceremony.

1:05-1:48…“But she won’t…it’s ok. I mean…for someone (inaudible)…it’s actually happened once….ummmm, it was the guy with the girl. The guy changed his mind. They’re actually (inaudible) and now they’re still married. But, ummm…she’s incredibly stubborn, and if someone is passive aggressive and bottles it up, it probably…you know what I’m sayin?”

This is a clear reference to Jason Mesnick, who during the finale of the thirteenth season of The Bachelor proposed to Melissa Rycroft, only to break up with her during After The Final Rose and ask runner-up Molly Malaney to give him another chance instead. She agreed, and they've been married since 2010. More proof that Nick made it to the final two before being rejected, as he seems to think it's unlikely he'll find himself in the same position.

1:52…“Oh, loved em.’ Love, love, loved her family. Great relationship with both her parents…”

So he met her family, yet another milestone that only the final two guys reach. All in all, an overwhelming amount of evidence that Josh Murray is the guy who takes it all home, which Steve confirms by saying the two of them are engaged.

Nothing like solid detective work, huh? Especially when it saves me dozens of hours of staring at a television screen.
