After spending the past couple of weeks thinking the friendship to end all friendships had failed, we now have evidence that things between Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez are totally cool. They hung out together at last night's Met Gala in New York City, and Selena uploaded an Instagram video of the two of them having the time of their lives. If you like a generous serving of cheese with your morning meal, this reunion video will not disappoint you. It's all kinds of ridiculous.

Let me set the scene for you. It's got an old-timey filter on it, first of all, which you kind of have to expect whenever Taylor Swift is involved. I wouldn't be surprised if she eventually pays someone millions of dollars to invent technology that allows for real-life Instagram filters. But on top of that, it's a montage. A montage. Like we're in a romantic comedy. It's them making kissy faces at the camera, dancing away from the camera in their fancy dresses, and then hanging out with Chrissy Teigen for some reason. She seems to just be an innocent bystander. And the music is a song by Dean Martin with the lyrics “let us leave the confusion and all this illusion behind.” Leave it to Selena and Taylor to squash their breakup rumors this way.

Selena captioned the video, “And during.. sometimes you wanna just be you with someone who knows all your secrets.” I'm not sure what's supposed to go where that ellipsis is, or what secrets these two know about each other (besides what Taylor really said at the VMAs), but it sure looks and sounds like they're getting along. Either they just made up, they were never feuding in the first place, or they're both holograms sent to Earth to confuse us. Whatever the explanation is, it's probably for the best. Sure, Taylor influences Selena to make silly videos like this one, but at least it's not rehab. Or anything to do with Justin Bieber. Seriously, Selena, make a million of these videos if it means you'll never go back to Bieber again.
