The 22 Most Justifiably Outraged Tweets About Tatiana Maslany’s Emmy Snub

Orphan Black Helena excuse me

The 2014 Primetime Emmy nominations were announced this morning, and we already gave you our list of shows and actors we think were snubbed. But we really, really need to talk about Tatiana Maslany. That's right, Orphan Black‘s lead actress, who regularly plays half a dozen clones (more than that over the course of the series) with different accents and different personalities and pulls them all off flawlessly, didn't get an Emmy nomination. For the second year in a row. What more do you want, Emmy people?! We wrote you a whole post outlining why she deserves it, not that you should have needed it explained. Do we need to sick Helena on you?

Obviously fans of Orphan Black are very upset about this. And they're not keeping quiet about it. The Clone Club, as the show's fans are called, have taken to Twitter to express their justifiable outrage at this totally insane omission. Take a look at some of our favorite responses below, and then join us in fuming over this. At least the show got renewed, so we can try to remedy this next year. RIGHT, EMMYS?!

I feel like this is a good place to start.

This person doesn't even watch the show and they still know she was robbed.

I'd be willing to contribute.

Alison's face speaks volumes.

Laughing is the only way we're going to get through this, guys.

Seriously, is there a conspiracy afoot? What other explanation could there be?

Yay references!

Even people who dislike the show think she deserves it.

Weak AF indeed.

It's certainly starting to seem that way.

 Also me.

Is a boycott imminent?

We're starting to suspect they just looked at last year's list and picked the same people.

Hahahahaha, I'm laughing to keep myself from sobbing.

Yes, exactly!

Apparently the answer to that is not “play multiple nuanced characters flawlessly.”

I feel like she could play fifty clones and they'd still be like, “Hmm, show us some more.”

Please respect the Clone Club's privacy at this difficult time.

Okay, I don't support dead mice, but I appreciate the enthusiasm.

There must always be a Kanye joke. It's a law.

That pretty much sums it up.
