Melanie Brown Hints At A Spice Girls Reunion At Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee

Spice Girls reunion at Queen Elizabeth's Diamond JubileeThis is potentially exciting news! Melanie Brown, perhaps better known as Scary Spice, was on an Australian morning show about her post-baby weight loss when she let slip some hints about a reunion of the Spice Girls. The interviewers were pressing for any hint as to what could bring back together the fab fivesome of Mel, Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, and Melanie Chisolm.

Here's the transcript from the video interview:

Interviewer: Could a Spice Girls reunion bring you back here [to Sydney], or to the London Olympics?

Mel: We do have our Spice Girls musical coming out this year, which has been written and directed by Judy Kramer, who did Mamma Mia! the musical and Mamma Mia! the movie. So hopefully yeah, we'll be doing some stuff together. I'm always down for a Spice Girls reunion. For me to get my Scary hair on and big platforms… any time of day. I'm a Spice Girl through and through.

Interviewer: The rumor is it could be London Olympics we see you all at?

Mel: Well, we do have the Queen's Diamond Jubilee… Oh, did I really say that? [laughs]

That sounds like a yes! This would be so cool, because the Spice Girls are the shit. And as the possible reason for their performing together again, Queen Elizabeth is pretty cool, too.

According to Rolling Stone, Mel was freaking out after the interview, telling crew members, “I am going to be in such strife for saying that. It's all so bloody top-secret still.” We'll take that bit with a grain of salt since it came from an anonymous source, but the rest we've seen for our own eyes! Fingers crossed this could take off.
