Shia LaBeouf Will See Jim Carrey’s Insult, And Raise Him A Twitter Rant

After Jim Carrey brilliantly insulted Shia LaBeouf at the Golden Globes last night, I figured it was only a matter of time before Shia sniffed out the affront and sent back something incomprehensible. And I didn't have long to wait, because he's been all over Twitter today.

While introducing the award for Best Motion Picture — Comedy Or Musical, Jim quipped, “‘Dying is easy. Comedy is hard.' I believe it was Shia LaBeouf who said that. So young, so wise.” Haaaaaa! He's an easy target, but I can't deny that it was a brilliant shot. Definitely earned me back some respect for Jim after his weird Twitter rants in the past and strange obsession with Emma Stone.

But speaking of Twitter rants, you better believe Shia has one in the chamber right now, because he's not gonna like being mocked like that to a national audience. And knowing him, whatever retort he comes up with is gonna have something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue. Just like a traditional wedding, or a good solid Shia plagiarism rant.

You positive that you aren't talking about yourself, Shia?

Then he posted this video of Jim's daughter Jane Carey, who auditioned for American Idol in 2012.

…because apparently he wanted to make ‘bad parenting' part of his response. Real classy, Shia.

But of course, there was an apology quick on its heels. He's all about the insult/backpedal/insult dance of late.

Hey. Can't argue with that.
