Seth MacFarlane And Charlize Theron Ate Sushi Together Because They Like To Confuse Me

Seth MacFarlane and Charlize Theron dinner Beverly Hills April 2013

The wound is still fresh from the break-up between Seth MacFarlane and Emilia Clarke, and already Seth wants to throw some crazy on it. And it doesn't sting so much as it confuses. Seth MacFarlane and Charlize Theron were spotted last night leaving a sushi restaurant together. If “together” means purposely walking multiple feet apart.

And you know what walking multiple feet apart while leaving a restaurant means: They're soul mates. Or maybe they're just dating. Or maybe it was just a very unfortunate coincidence and they really weren't interacting at all. But that seems unlikely since they're about to film Seth's movie A Million Ways to Die in The West. So they could have just been having dinner to add more ways to that list. It takes a lot of work and a lot of sushi to get to a million.

But let's imagine they're dating. Because it's fun to confuse ourselves. Am I the only one who think this is a weird couple? I mean, it's more age-appropriate than Seth's relationship with Emilia, but Seth and Charlize occupy two separate sections of my brain. Seth lives in that part of my brain that enjoys lying on the couch laughing at fart jokes. Charlize lives in the part that enjoys being intimidated by gorgeous pixie cuts. And never the twain shall meet… until sushi is involved, apparently.

Charlize Theron has intimidated me ever since she ripped that necklace off in that one perfume commercial that time. And then she showed up at the Oscars this year dressed up as a ray of heavenly light, and I was not worthy. It's not that I don't think Seth is attractive enough to date her. I actually have a not-so-secret crush on Seth. But just look at how different they are in that picture up there. That grin on his face is so wide he might as well be pointing at her going, “Look, I'm with her, guys!” Charlize does not look as pleased with the situation.

But I have to keep reminding myself that Charlize is funny. Remember when she was on Arrested Development that time? Or when she participated in Seth's controversial “We Saw Your Boobs” segment at the Oscars? Or when she did those Funny or Die videos last year where she sang “Sittin' on tha Toilet” and made me laugh so hard I couldn't breathe? So maybe this could work.

Or maybe they really were just coming up with some more ways to die in the West.
