Sandra Bullock And Melissa McCarthy Just Became My New Favorite Celebrity Couple

Sandra Bullock Melissa McCarthy The Heat interview CinemaCon 2013

Everybody can put away their commemorative William and Kate plates and their Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield tea kettles (Only me? Okay.), because I've discovered Hollywood's cutest celebrity couple, and their nickname is officially McBullock. Or Sandlissa. Pick whichever one you prefer. Because after watching this interview with Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy which PopSugar caught on camera at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, it's clear that they're in love, and they don't care who knows it.

Sandra and Melissa were there to promote their upcoming buddy cop movie The Heat, and they were so in sync with each other during the interview that the only conclusion one can come to is that they're soul mates. Sure, Melissa has a funny husband named Ben Falcone, and they're really cute together too, but hey, if Justin Timberlake can have his bromance with Jimmy Fallon on the side, who's to say this pairing won't work?

Even Sandra and Melissa admit that when they met, there were “fireworks.” As Sandra explains, “It's like when you look across a bar, you've had a couple drinks, and you just see that specimen and you're like, ‘I don't know what's happening. I'm afraid. I want it, I want it, I want it.'” See? Love at first sight.

When a reporter asks if the movie's called The Heat because they're so smoking hot, they reply with jazz hands, and they say “the heat” in unison. I mean, this is a match made in funny lady heaven.

The interview also features a priceless anecdote about Melissa ramming a drink straw up Sandra's nose. You should also probably expect Sandra's memoir When You Dance in Silence sometime in the future, and you know who it will probably be dedicated to? Melissa McCarthy.

I can't be the only one who currently has her fingers crossed for Sandra and Melissa to star in a reality show about their life raising their kids together and all the crazy antics they get into. C'mon, you know you'd watch it.

While I'm not especially interested in seeing their movie, I do agree with Sandra and Melissa that Hollywood's lack of female buddy comedies is indeed “cray-cray.”
