Sandra Bullock’s Family Just Got Cuter as She Reveals She Adopted a Daughter
Sandra Bullock's family was already in the running for most adorable ever, even when it was just her and her 5-year-old son Louis. Now that family (and the cuteness too) is expanding, with Sandra revealing to People magazine (with a shoot by her boyfriend, photographer Bryan Randall) that she adopted a 3-year-old girl named Laila (pronounced Lila) from Louisiana.
Here's what Sandra had to say about her daughter in the new issue of the magazine:
“When I look at Laila, there’s no doubt in my mind that she was supposed to be here … I can tell you absolutely, the exact right children came to me at the exact right time.”
Sandra, who fostered Laila before adopting her, also revealed that “Louis spearheaded this whole journey,” which began three years ago. I knew I liked that kid ever since I heard about him having “man time” with George Clooney. This just clinches it.
People writes that Sandra “hopes to shine a light on the 415,129 children currently in foster care in the U.S.” The magazine shares links to adoptuskids.org and kids-alliance.org for those who would like to learn more about fostering and adoption in the United States.
If your heart hasn't been warmed enough already by all of this, Sandra also had this to say about her family:
“My family is blended and diverse, nutty, and loving and understanding. That’s a family.”
I know what you're thinking right now, because it's the same thing I'm thinking. You're thinking you hope the next People magazine cover features Sandra announcing that she's adopting you. Surely she has some room for a fully grown person or two in that wonderful household of hers. If not, I will accept being an official third wheel to her friendship with Melissa McCarthy. Both are going on my Christmas wishlist, just in case.
