Just When You’re Starting to Forget He Exists, Kim Kardashian Shares the First Photo of Saint West

Is it just me, or was Saint West, the 3-month-old son of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, starting to seem like a myth wrapped in an enigma wrapped in a mystery wrapped in a legend wrapped in lettuce? Kim has waited so long to show us a picture of him that includes more than his hand — all the while sharing multiple photos and videos her daughter North — that it seemed like he didn't even exist. Then I just sort of forgot he was even a thing in the first place — real or imaginary.
Kim must have sensed me forgetting, because this morning she shared the first photo of Saint on her app and website. (Her mom Kris Jenner doesn't have a talk show anymore, so she couldn't do it there.) Kim said she was sharing it in honor of her late father Robert Kardashian's birthday. Here's what she wrote:
“Today is my dad’s birthday. I know there’s nothing more in the world he would have wanted than to meet his grandchildren. So I wanted to share this pic of Saint with you all.”
Just like the last time Kim and Kanye procreated, we're now forced to temporarily put aside any distaste we may have for the Kardashian family and all its offshoots to coo over the widdle baby. Look at his chubby baby cheeks and his tiny baby fingers and his peaceful sleepy baby face. He's just the spitting image of… so many other babies. (Sorry, they all look the same to me.)
The style of this photo is a lot different than the style of the first photo Kim shared of North West. In that photo, North was awake and reaching toward the camera in a pose that seemed to say, “Save me from these people.” Saint, on the other hand, appears to be playing dead in an attempt to save himself. So, you know, same concept, different methods. They'll make quite the team.
