Ruthie Camden Poses For Maxim, Which Is Probably Worse Than The Time Simon Camden Killed Someone

Well there's a good chance that you woke up this morning with a hankering to know what happened to Mackenzie Rosman, the precocious child star who played Ruthie Camden on 7th Heaven back in the mid '00s. And that's why I'm so happy to share this exciting news with you. The now 23-year-old recently posed in her underwear for Maxim. Why? I'm not 100% sure. Maybe she woke up one day with a hankering to make people uncomfortable since we pretty much only know her as a child star who fell off the face of the earth.

Sure she's 23 now and sure she's allowed to do whatever she wants with her body, whenever she wants. It's just that, um, this is Ruthie Camden. I watched her grow up on TV. I think I was there when she got her first period. (Also Lucy's, but she's the wettest blanket to ever get wet, so I do not wish to discuss her today.) I know this is classic “look out world! I'm an adult now” behavior, but you'd think that she would've learned a lesson on how this can backfire when Jessica Biel pulled this stunt way back when. She even tells Maxim that the Biel shoot wrecked havoc on the set. And as you might recall, got Mary Camden banished to her grandparents. A sip of beer will get you sent away from home every single time.

“It was a big deal. The magazine was banned on set, I think by orders of [executive producer] Aaron Spelling,” Rosman tells Maxim. “I sneaked a peek at it, though. It was racy gossip amongst the women of 7th Heaven.

Yet despite knowing all this, she still went ahead and posed in her underwear — baby face and all. I just wish Reverend Camden could sit her down and talk to her for a bit. Do his usual lady-shame, family-shame, let's-fix-this-by-helping-a-child-who-might-not-be-in-need routine. Then again, he's probably still off in that damn RV, pretending that nothing's wrong with Sam and David and wishing that he could leave Lucy at the next rest stop.
