A rough year for Rob Kardashain got even worse when he was rushed to the hospital earlier this week. According to TMZ, after not feeling well over the weekend, his family took him to a L.A. area hospital where he was diagnosed with diabetes. Specifically, Rob was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, which means with a commitment to a healthy lifestyle he could go into remission. The sources at TMZ say it was a good thing he was able to get to the hospital because if not treated the condition could have led to a diabetic coma. He reportedly “had no clue he was diabetic.”

While his famous family has been documenting their lives non-stop on their show and social media, Rob has kept quiet for the past year. While dealing with his 100-lb weight gain and battle with depression, he has not appeared on Keeping up with the Kardashians for nearly a year and a half and only posts occasional updates to his Instagram. His last post was 7 weeks ago in which he wished mom Kris Jenner a happy birthday.

After not appearing in his family's recent Thanksgiving pictures, one of the many events and holidays he has been absent from, Kris Jenner gave an interview to Maria Menounos commenting on how Rob was doing. She said, “He's doing all right. You know, he's doing his best. He's not as into being on camera as much as the rest of us. But he's working on himself. He's going to be okay.”

Hopefully 2016 will prove to be a better year for Rob.
