6 Burning Questions I Have After Watching The Real Housewives of Orange County

By  |

Well guys, we're in week seven of this show. Lucky number seven! Compared to last week's madness, this episode of Bravo's The Real Housewives of Orange County was kind of a snoozer, but I still managed to be engrossed. Seriously, once I turn on my TV and watch these blonde women go about their weird/probably fake lives, I can't help but be entranced. They've had me for years, and this week's episode was no different though I was getting a bit annoyed with these ladies by the end. It seemed like every one of them was either talking about surgery or having surgery.¬†Appropriately, episode seven was entitled “Under the Knife”, and I thought about taking one to my brain by the end of the hour, but that's another story entirely.

We find these ladies pretty much going about their individual lives. There was very little interaction which is disappointing because when these crazy broads get together, it's great TV for all. Tamra spent last night's episode talking about getting a breast reduction and the real meaning of friendship. Vicki was freaking out this whole episode about her daughter (that is when she wasn't taking helicopter trips to Los Angeles). Alexis looks like she got mugged in a back alley and is recovering from her nose job. Gretchen is learning how to be a Pussycat Doll, and Heather wants to open a restaurant. Oh lordy, these women are up to some interesting antics. Now time for my burning questions!

1. Is having big boobs synonymous with power?

Tamra really wants to get her breast implants taken out. She claims the only reason it has taken her so long to get them out is because her soon-to-be ex, Simon, didn't “want to be with someone who had mosquito bites.” How romantic. Tamra goes on and on about how having big boobs is the norm in Orange County. (I'll buy that.) She mentions that having big boobs gives you power. I mean, I kind of understand her logic. Being beautiful and having large breasts can definitely get you certain things in life, but I don't know if one of them is respect. I commend Tamra for getting the reduction and being true to herself, but I don't know if having big breasts gets to that much power.

2. Is Alexis' in-house nurse necessary?

So Alexis got a nose job. I thought it was super sweet how her husband was taking care of her and feeding her soup. That's what we all want in the long run, right? A man who will be by our side during times of need. He was being so nice and attentive. Then I saw a random woman who was kind of weirdly intruding on their special little moment: a nurse. Alexis, do you really need a person in your home to help you with your nose job recovery? I had open heart surgery and did not have a nurse with me while I was recovering. I guess that's just how they do it in the OC, guys, but my answer is no. Not necessary. Jim can put the peas on her head and change her bandages. Dear Lord.
