Jenny Slate Will Guest Star On Parks And Recreation, Sadly Not As Marcel The Shell

public speaking 161110Ooh I am liking the sound of this. Former Saturday Night Live cast member and current hilarious creator of the ‘Marcel the Shell' videos on YouTube Jenny Slate is all set to guest star on everybody's favorite TV show Parks and Recreation! Whew. That was a run-on sentence with a lot of different moving parts. Sorry.

Jenny will play the twin sister of Jean-Ralphio, a character played by the hilarious Ben Schwartz, who has the most hilarious name on all of television if you ask me. I mean ‘Jean-Ralphio'? You can't make anything funnier than that. Her name is Mona Lisa…which is also amazing…and she'll be working in Tom Haverford‘s new store Rent-A-Swag. Unsurprisingly, she's not the most dedicated worker so I'm anticipating lots of tricks and capers.

As of now, there's no word on how many episodes she'll appear in, but it's definitely obviously at least one, and I'm hoping for more than that so Amy Poehler‘s character Leslie Knope can come on down to the store and give her a talking to. See if we can't do something about that work ethic. In the beautiful dream world of my imagination, though, I'm hoping for one of two things. Either A. Tom falls for her, so she stays around for a while longer to do a full relationship arc or B. The reason she's so bad at her job is that she's making tiny dioramas all around the store and acting out miniature Claymation puppet shows. Like…say…Marcel the Shell, for instance? All I'm saying is think about it. And while you're at it, I'd love to guest star on the show as well. I mean just if you're looking for people.
