Couple Addicted To Coffee Enemas Takes America By Storm On TLC’s My Strange Addiction

Move over, Honey Boo Boo! There's a new charmer in town, and her name is Coffee Enema Lady.

On the upcoming season of TLC's My Strange Addiction, we are introduced to a couple named Trina and Mike who are addicted to coffee enemas, i.e. putting a bunch of coffee up your butt and subsequently expelling it into the toilet. Mike thought it was gross at first, but then Trina was like “don't knock it til you try it!” and now he is addicted to them, too.

“I love the way coffee enemas make me feel,” the four-a-day addict says. “I feel, like, a sense of euphoria. I absolutely would fall apart without them.” While she is waiting for all that coffee to go up her butt, Trina has a bit of “me time,” catching up on emails and even doing Sudoku puzzles. In response to this segment, Trina's co-workers will now be wiping down her emails with peroxide before they read them.

While they are touted by some alternative medicine professionals as a way to get rid of “toxins,” coffee enemas are considered by the mainstream community to be “unproven, rash and potentially dangerous,” according to the all-knowing Wikipedia. Additionally, it seems like a waste of good coffee, especially considering that just drinking it can have similar butt purging effects, plus it tastes good and helps you stay awake. Then again, who am I to judge? I am addicted to not getting coffee enemas, personally, so I guess we all have our things.

Between this and the lady who eats hair right off her cat, it's guaranteed to be a very lively season.

My Strange Addiction returns Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 10 p.m. EST on TLC! Oh boy!
