Modern Family Feud Is The Only Thing That Might Make Me Like The Show Again

I don't know about you guys, but I'm kind of over Modern Family at this point. I don't know if it's because it's been on television for too long or just because it stole an Emmy away from some of the shows that I really wanted to win, or what, but I'm over it. I still dutifully tune in every week out of habit, but every time I do more and more things at the same time. Last week I think I was tweeting, doing a crossword, and putting together a FreshDirect order. I really couldn't tell you what even happened in the episode.

But if there's one person who could make me like Modern Family again, it's…probably Jimmy Fallon. He's just so great. But if there are two people who could make me like it again, the second one is Jimmy Kimmel. And I know that because he did! He really did! He played a game on his show last night called Modern Family Feud, and it was the perfect way for me to be reminded that I really do like these people, deep down.

The cast was split into two teams of three, Pritchetts and In-Laws. On Team Pritchett was Julie Bowen, Ed O'Neill, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and on the opposing team, Team In-Laws were their respective show-spouses, Ty Burrell, Sofia Vergara, and Eric Stonestreet. And then they just play a regular game of Family Feud, just with fewer chances and more boob references. Sofia is there, after all.

I won't give away who wins, because I'm sure you're on the edge of your seat, but it was just nice to watch them hang out and realize how much they like each other as a cast…and mentally guilt myself into watching the show for one more week.
