Miley Cyrus Has A Pet Pig Now, And It’s Like What Took Her So Long?

By  |

There's one thing the entire world can agree on, no matter where we come from or how old we are or whether we prefer to say “nyther” or “neether,” and that thing is that Miley Cyrus should have already had a pet pig by now. Every day I wake up and think, “Maybe today is the day it happens,” but then I check her Instagram and see that she just has another dog. How many dogs do you need?! You're long overdue for a pig! It's your duty as a celebrity who makes questionable decisions.

Well, now the wait is over, because yesterday Miley posted Instagram photos of her new piglet Bubba Sue. And if you're wondering, that was totally on my list of potential Miley Cyrus piglet names back when I first decided it was time for her to have one. It was right behind Jim Bob and Cindy Lou Who. As you can see, Miley and Bubba Sue did their little photo shoot on a plane, probably while traveling between locations for her Bangerz tour. Because obviously the best time to acquire a baby farm animal is when you're traveling all over the country for concerts.

And it looks like Miley's dog Emu is already friendly with the little piggy. Either that or he figured out where bacon comes from and has a few ideas. Let's hope it's the friendly thing, though.

Us Weekly makes sure to point out that this is not, in fact, the first “pig in Cyrus' life,” and then somehow refrains from making a Billy Ray joke. Instead, they explain that in 2012 PETA sponsored a rescued pig in honor of Miley's 20th birthday. But that pig didn't ride on planes with her like Bubba Sue does.

Now that Miley has a new pet in her life, we should all cross our fingers that Bubba Sue doesn't end up in “Hey Where'd Those Pets Go?” Land. You know when you see that a celebrity has adopted a new animal, usually something exotic or eccentric, and then a few months later you stop hearing about it? Those pets go to “Hey Where'd Those Pets Go?” Land. It's the same place your socks go when you lose them in the dryer. And yes, it's alternate name is “Hey Where'd That Sock Go?” Land. At least the pets have something to play with.
