So The Man Of Steel Sequel Will Feature Superman AND Batman, In Other News Comic Con Explodes

Henry Cavill

Making comic book nerds aficionados everywhere squeal in delight, Warner Brothers announced that none other than Batman himself will be starring alongside Henry Cavill's Superman.  I'm not a die-hard comic book fan by any means, but I feel like this is possibly the greatest combination of superheroes and young kid playroom fantasies of all time.  Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but know that I've got Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent on speed dial.

Man of Steel director Zack Snyder walked on stage at Comic Con yesterday and announced that a sequel to Man of Steel was in the works.  After reportedly keeping the audience in suspense for a few minutes, a screen onstage lit up with the following image and Twitter/Comic Con/most of my Facebook newsfeed went ape shit:

I can't decide if this is a disaster waiting to happen, since the only good thing about Man of Steel was Henry Cavill's bodysuit and chin dimple.  Also the entire movie went about 60 minutes too long, and my bladder just can't handle the thought of what epic lengths a sequel will go to… especially one that features Batman.  My guess is approximately 238 minutes, not including previews and credits.  Thoughts?

Unfortunately, Christian Bale will not reprise his Dark Knight role for this sequel — meaning less eye candy and possibly more of a reason to not see this movie.
