In Her Old Age, Madonna Forgets To Not Be Horribly Racist

By  |

Madonna isn’t exactly one to let anything stop her from expressing herself but she crossed a line when she called her son, Ritchie the N-word on Instagram.

On Friday she posted a photo on Instagram of her son during a boxing workout. Her caption read, “No one messes with Dirty Soap! Mama said knock you out! #disn—a”

Naturally the comments were flooded complaints and it began to cause an uproar before she deleted the post, only to re-upload the picture and revise the comment to “Ok, let me start this again #get off my d–k haters!” Not exactly what we were thinking, Madonna. She is now apologizing for her choice of words in a statement to E! News.

“I am sorry if I offended anyone with my use of the N-word on Instagram. It was not meant as a racial slur…I am not a racist.”

Madonna, are you serious? How could you really think that you could get away with saying the N-word? I know you've forgotten some social norms but, in what world is this okay? You must know that this word is going to be offensive to some people.

“There's no way to defend the use of the word. It was all about intention…It was used as a term of endearment toward my son who is white.  I appreciate that it's a provocative word and I apologize if it gave people the wrong impression. Forgive me.”

Madonna, again, are you serious? Can I offer you some suggestions for other words of endearment that don’t have deep racist roots? Here’s five off the top of my head: Sweetie, Honey, Pumpkin, Tough guy, Pal, Darling, Son, Goose, Chicken (really any sort of bird), Sugar. Oh woops that list went over five BECAUSE IT IS LITERALLY SO EASY TO THINK OF OTHER WORDS!
