Need any more proof that Lorde is way more relaxed and self-aware at age seventeen than you are as a fully-grown adult? (Probably not, but you’re gonna get some anyway, so sit tight.) She embraced South Parks parody of her so hard that she spoofed it herself.

I don’t actually watch South Park myself (I know, I know, my friends berate me for this on a constant basis, so don’t bother), so if you don’t either, we can catch up on this story together! Last week, the show aired an episode that starred Randy Marsh as a parent dressed up as Lorde, doing a caricature of her that was solely his character in a mustache and a wig, swishing his butt back and forth going ‘Ya ya ya ya ya I’m Lorde’, over and over.

Pretty funny, but not super flattering, one would assume. But one isn’t Lorde, who told New Zealand’s TV3 that she was so amused by it that she and her friends do imitations of it. In fact, she did one on the show! Check it out.

Ha! And she even had a sense of humor about the whole mustache thing, as here’s what she said about the mini-cameo:

“I was thinking, ‘Yeah he has a moustache… I mean I have a moustache, but is it that prominent?’ But it was someone’s dad pretending to be me. We actually, in my hotel room, went ‘Ya ya ya ya ya I’m Lorde! Ya ya ya!’ for like an hour, because that’s why they do on the episode, so…”

That’s amazing. Not just the part where she and her friends sing the parody song, but the fact that a teenager is like, ‘yeah, my face grows hair on it, and sometimes I have bad skin, what of it?’. I’m so obsessed with her.
