Lindsay Lohan Goes To India To Gawk At The Poor People..in Other Words, Photo Opp!
I think everyone has pretty much written Lindsay Lohan off at this point. She’s cute, she made a couple of sorta watchable teen movies, and then promptly followed that up with years of binge drinking, cocaine parties, and lesbian lovers. You know, like us regular folks.
Well, apparently Linds is hoping to re-invent herself by taking a page out of Angelina Jolie’s book titled “How to Make Everyone Forget That You Kind of Made Out With Your Brother At The Oscars and Carried a Vial of Blood Around Your Neck, Plus Did Some Other Weird Shit That We Can’t Even REMEMBER, and Anyway, You’re A Super Saint or Something Now”. Best seller, I’m NOT EVEN KIDDING.
Anywhodles! Lindsay has some kind of hypnotic heebie-jeebie powers, because she somehow convinced the powers that be at the BBC to make a documentary of her walking around in India and bestowing her goodness on the poor folk. DEEP, man. Deep. Here’s the trailer for the documentary; watch as Lindsay is VERY SERIOUS and CARES DEEPLY for the poverty-stricken villagers.
Huh. Okay, seriously? We need to investigate Lindsay’s super powers because that shiznit is NOT EVEN KIDDING AROUND. I mean, come on – the BBfreakingC fell for this drunken hoho and actually spent money on this? Really? Cripes. And don’t you just love that in Lindsay’s world, only the ATTRACTIVE girls get raped. No, seriously. Here’s what she said:
‘Didn’t you hear from other traffickers that some children were abused, and maybe some girls, like if they are attractive, were raped and prostituted?’
WUT. So being attractive equals getting raped, in Lindsay’s point of view. Spectacular. That actually explains quite a lot.
Here’s more, if you can handle it:
According to the BBC, Lohan, 23, meets with “young boys who work 16-hour days under the constant threat of beatings, …a reformed trafficker who would make a quick buck luring young girls…[and] a shelter where young girls promised domestic work for India’s burgeoning middle classes were trafficked into brothels and forced into prostitution.”
“As her trip draws to an end,” a BBC press release says, “Lindsay questions whether the increasing demand for domestic help and consumer goods by India’s wealthy, coupled with the increasing poverty in rural India, , means there is any solution to this abominable trade.”
>>blank stare<< Really? Lindsay “questions whether the increasing demand for domestic help and consumer goods by India’s wealthy, coupled with the increasing poverty in rural India, , means there is any solution to this abominable trade?” She said that? Really? Pardon me while I attempt to suspend my unbelief and FAIL MISERABLY.
