Lindsay Lohan Got Arrested Last Night, And Not By Elizabeth Taylor’s Ghost

By  |

After a long night of working hard to launch her new charity in New York City, 26-year-old Lindsay Lohan stepped outside to get a fresh breath of air. Numbers danced around in her head as she thought about all the children she'd soon be able to help. She thanked God for her good fortune and made a mental note to go to church in the morning — that is if she had time between feeding the orphans and helping the elderly turn on their computers. Then she got arrested for unknown reasons.

LOLSIES! That's not what happened at all. As part of her new NYC tradition, Lindsay Lohan went out clubbing in the early hours of Thursday morning at Avenue. That's the name of a club. It's for the people who feel too old at Street, but too young at Lane. Anyway, things quickly escalated. (Side note: should “Things Quickly Escalated Allegedly” be the title of the Lilo memoir I'm writing?).

Naturally TMZ has all the juicy details:

Our sources say Lohan was at Club Avenue when she got into some sort of argument with a female patron and it became physical.  We're told cops came and arrested Lindsay for allegedly assaulting her.

Law enforcement tells us prior to the fight words were exchanged between Lindsay and the woman as they sat in separate booths near each other.  Lindsay said something to the effect of, “Give me my space.”  Some time passed and then, for some reason, Lindsay allegedly punched the girl in the left side of her face.

While no one's confirmed what was said between the two ladies, we can only assume it started when the girl asked Lindsay Lohan how she planned to reimburse her for the time she spent watching Liz & Dick on Sunday.

As of 7:40 AM, TMZ reports Linds was getting released with a desk report ticket. I'm assuming that's the ticket the courts give unpredictable starlets. Every time they get arrested, they get a hole punch. After 10 hole punches, they get to go to jail for free. If you're a fro-yo aficionado, you're probably very familiar with this system.
