Lena Dunham Has An Obsessive Crush On Jimmy Fallon — Wants To Switch Bodies And Fall In Love

Lena Dunham, creator and star of HBO's Girls, was interviewed last night by Jimmy Fallon for his show, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, and she had some adorably stalker-ish revelations to share about her fantasy relationship with the comedian during her highschool years.

“I was like really obsessed with you in highschool, like in a way that was a little crazy. I don't want to freak you out, but I feel like there's a lot of stuff I've needed to say to you for a long time.”

As Lena herself admits, she was so obsessed with Jimmy when she was in high school that she treasured a signed napkin from him that someone gave her before she ever got the chance to meet him. Then later, when she was seventeen, she went up to Jimmy at a party and informed him that she had a napkin he'd signed, to which his response was ‘Score!'.

At this point in the interview, Jimmy optimistically thought the creepy get-to-know-you part was over, so, trying to move on, he told Lena that she was awesome and that her mother and grandmother had done a great job, and hello to both of them. But nooooo, Jimmy Fallon, you speak too soon. Don't you know that Lena has many more stories of adolescent pinings? And she's about to share one more.

Apparently — and this is awesome — when she was fifteen, Lena wrote a Freaky Friday-style play where she and Jimmy Fallon somehow switch bodies.

Jimmy: ‘We made a wish or something?'
Lena: ‘I made a wish, you didn't make a wish.'

Jimmy is cracking up at this point, and trying to get more details, but long story short, it's a play written by a fifteen-year old, about a Jimmy Fallon-aged person falling in love with himself…who's actually a fifteen-year old girl. A little twisted, but hilarious, in true Lena Dunham style. And just when you think she can't get any more adorkably awkward and weird, she busts out this last line:

“Oh my god, when I wake up and touch myself, I'm touching Jimmy Fallon….so thank you for having me, is I guess what I was trying to say.”

Oh Lena…I hope you do many an interview while Girls is on hiatus so that I can still get my funny weirdo fix.
